What is the Whistleblowing Scanner?

Our Whistleblowing Scanner is a check up of the whistleblowing arrangements in your small or medium sized organisation that is entirely completed online. It has been developed by the UK’s leading independent whistleblowing charity Protect. It is aimed at organisations with 50 – 250 employees operating across all sectors in the UK, EU and internationally**.

It’s the fastest, most affordable and secure way to learn how well prepared your organisation is to encourage, support and protect your employees who may wish to speak up about any wrongdoing they might have witnessed.

The assessment can be completed in your own time, all at once or in segments. By asking you questions about the governance, policies and practice as well as staff engagement, it examines your organisation’s current whistleblowing culture. After the self-assessment is submitted, a report with a score based on your whistleblowing set up is sent to your email along with initial recommendations on the next steps and ways to improve.

** Please note this is a self-assessment exercise, based on Protect’s years of experience, with questions that align to areas of the EU Whistleblowing Directive. It is not a compliance exercise, and completing the exercise does not mean you are compliant with any legislation.
