UK whistleblowing charity Protect has appointed Julia Graham, the CEO of Airmic, the UK association of insurance and risk managers as a Trustee.
Julia has a background in international insurance, enterprise risk management and compliance with four decades of experience in a global insurance company and a global law firm. She is the UK Government Crown Representative for Risk and Insurance.
Julia is a former chair of FERMA, the European association for risk management professionals and is currently Vice President of IFRIMA, the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations.
Julia, said, “I am delighted to be appointed a Protect Trustee. Protect is a long-standing, well-respected organisation, well known within the financial services sector for its whistleblowing expertise. I am looking forward to supporting the growth of Protect’s Benchmark, to the financial services sector as well as other sectors. Protect offers such a vital service to so many whistleblowers, but I am also very keen to be involved with Protect’s work with employers around improving the culture of organisations to encourage employees to speak out before crises occur.”
