Protect features as the first guest on Whistleblowing Now and Then, a new podcast co-hosted by Anna Myers, Executive Director of WIN (Whistleblowing International Network) and Vigjilenca Abazi, Assistant Professor of European Law at Maastricht University.
The new podcast focuses on the most important issues of the day for whistleblowing, featuring interviews with experts, whistleblowers and advocates from around the world.
Protect’s Chief Executive Liz Gardiner talks about her role, how the team have adapted over the pandemic, how we support whistleblowers and the change in calls we’ve seen over the pandemic. She said,
“As people begin to return to work, we are likely to see new challenges and new concerns being raised particularly around how employers are following government guidelines, there is an awful lot to take on and understand. Understanding what is a safe workplace and who is it we should be asking to return to the workplace and what do we do if they (staff) are too frightened to or have a reason not to… I think these are going to be hugely difficult times.”
