Advice

We provide free, confidential and expert advice to whistleblowers, helping you to decide how best to raise your concern, advising you on what protection you are entitled to and what you can do if things go wrong. 

Contacting the Advice Line 

  • You can get in touch with us by phone on 0203 117 2520 or by webform. If you leave a webform or voicemail, we will aim to get back to you within 3 working days.  
  • If you work or volunteer in the charity sector, please use our Charity Sector webform.

If you require any reasonable adjustments due to a disability, please let your adviser know and we will do our best to accommodate these. We also provide translation services, including for BSL. If you would be more comfortable talking with us about your concern in another language, please contact us and we can make arrangements.  

We will need to get details from you on the nature of your case in order to provide full advice. Our advisers will need to ask questions about your situation, and it may be helpful if you have any relevant dates or details to hand when you call us if possible. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with our privacy policy.

  • As a legal advice service we offer free expert and confidential advice on how best to raise your concern and your protection as a whistleblower
  • We are experts in the specific legal rights that whistleblowers have at work, and are also able to advise on some other connected rights
  • Depending on our resources and policy priorities, we can act as a respected and trusted legal ‘third party’ e.g. writing to a regulator or Government
  • We do not advocate at the Employment Tribunal, so we cannot represent you in legal proceedings
  • We are not able to advise on all workplace legal rights but can signpost you to other services who will be able to help (for instance, if you are looking for advice on discrimination law)
  • We are not a regulatory body, so cannot investigate your whistleblowing concerns
  • As we have limited resources, we can only give advice as far as our resources allow
