Business Support Executive
Salary: £24,480 FTE.
Location: London, Bethnal Green (E2), with 2-4 days of remote-working.
Hours: Flexible. Part time considered (4 days minimum).
Protect is the UK’s whistleblowing charity. Our aim is to protect the public interest by helping workers to speak up to stop harm and wrongdoing. We support whistleblowers by providing free and confidential legal advice and we campaign for legal and policy reform. We are looking for someone to help us in our role of supporting employers to implement effective whistleblowing arrangements.
The service we offer to organisations is unique and we work with a wide range of organisations in the public, private and charity sectors – and from FTSE to SMEs – to enhance their arrangements to protect employees throughout the UK. Whistleblowing has never been more important and the work we do encourages more employers to develop safe working cultures, where their staff are confident to speak up if they see wrongdoing.
We are searching for a sales executive who is enthusiastic to work within our small but driven team.
The role will be selling Protect’s training, consultancy and membership services to employers who want to strive towards positive speak-up cultures. The Business Development team plays a key role in the charity, as the income generated from employers supports our whole operation.
You will help attract new business, and act as account manager for some of our 270 existing members. Being aware of whistleblowing in the news, and being an ambassador for the charity is very important, and we are looking for self-starters who use their initiative to contribute great ideas and succeed with their sales.
There will be a mid-level of UK travel and attendance will be required at internal and external events.
We have a highly collaborative team, and therefore there will be opportunities to contribute to training, and get involved with the design of new webinars and resources for employers.
The vacancy would suit someone who wants to develop in a business support environment or a recent graduate who is interested in working in a legal environment.
You will be:
Tenacious, positive and smart working. You will ideally have had some customer facing or commercial experience, but this is not essential. What is essential is the confidence to make sales calls and be highly organised. Writing proposals and communicating well with employers will be essential, so we are looking for a person who has a professional writing style, is highly computer literate and has and great attention to detail.
